About Hindustani Vocal
Hindustani Classical Music is the classical music of the northern regions of the Indian subcontinent, also called North Indian Classical Music or, in Hindustani, Shastriya Sangeet (Shastriya Sangeet). This tradition diverged from Carnatic traditions in the 12th century and arose during the Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb period, incorporating Perso-Arabic influences, with instruments such as violin, sitar, and sarod.
